How did we respond? 

In April 2020, COVID 19 made people stuck at their houses and mostly affected their mobility. Many lost their jobs, people couldn’t meet their basic needs as daily income declined massively. Lockdown situation has made people suffer a lot as things went wrong to a large extend. That is when I decided to help people and support financially backward families. Initially, I wanted to support at least 20 families, who were affected ineptly due to COVID 19 lockdown, while it has been affecting millions. I have approached people across India to support my charity effort. It was fortunate that many people have donated to the act.

Donated 500 grocery kits, worth of Rupees 7 lakhs to all over Karnataka

Across Karnataka

Our charity efforts has not halted there. We continued our support to the people in need by providing donations to the students for their education, we fed the people in hunger. We were able to provide healthcare support to the people. 

Money can’t bring all the happiness, but with time, spending some beautiful moments with the people at old-age homes can make them smile better. We are happy that we were able to witness their happiness. 

Charity is not just a donation it’s an honest mindset to serve the people in the society and help the people in need. The good work will always continue if the desire is true. 

Initially, it was I, and now, It has become Hasthapradha Charitable Trust. We are thankful for the people who are donating for the betterment of many lives. We are happy and grateful for the people who take part in our volunteering program.

We all wish we could do more to support underprivileged serious patients facing challenges and their caregivers, beyond our prayers.

Sometimes, the family members of serious patients do not have time to look after themselves, not even have the time to have food, which is the basic necessity as they are always around taking care of their close ones.

Majority of the underprivileged patients admitted in Government hospitals are those who come from nearby states are often poor, in several cases family members decide to stay hungry to save money.

Every single day, we receive between 60 – 100 reports about animals in different kinds of emergencies from all over the city of Pune and its fringe villages, as well as Lonavala Town (60 kms from Pune).

Since 2007, RESQ has rescued over 30,000 sick and injured animals from the streets of Pune.

We receive all kinds of animal emergencies ranging from road accidents to wounds, fractures, infectious diseases like Rabies, Distemper, Skin Infections, and several other illnesses in dogs and cats. In cows, horses, donkeys and other large animals, we receive wound cases, road accidents, and rumen-impacted cases of ‘plastic cows’.

We have two small animal ambulances and one large animal ambulance, which cover different areas of Pune city based on emergency levels. We have one Onsite Rescue Team and ambulance, which is fully equipped to handle all animal emergencies in the town of Lonavala.
